Abstract
Background, Chronic kidney failure is caused by impaired or damaged kidney function and reduced functional mass of the kidney caused by renal hypertrophy, so that the patient will be treated with hemodialysis. Patients with chronic kidney failure who undergo hemodialysis therapy will have various effects, one of which is fatigue. Through HD exercise in patients can help reduce fatigue. Objective, to determine the effect of hemodialysis exercise on fatigue in people with chronic kidney failure who take part in the hemodialysis therapy program at Hj. Anna Lasmanah Banjarnegara.. Methods, This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one group pretest posttest whithout control design. The research instrument used the FACIT-fatigue scale. The population of patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy was 55 patients. The sample method uses total sampling, a sample of 50 patients. Results, Measurement of fatigue before the intervention obtained light fatigue of20 (40%) and severe fatigue of 30 (60%). After doing HD gymnastics, there were37 (74%) of mild fatigue and 13 (26%) of severe fatigue. Fatigue events beforeand after the HD experience obtained an rho value of 0.484 and a p-value of 0.00. Conclusion, There is an effect of hemodialysis exercise on the incidence offatigue in patients with chronic kidney failure in participating in the hemodialysistherapy program at Hj. Hospital.
