Abstract

Background: Pain is an unpleasant condition associated with tissue damage. Clove leaves are a medicinal plant that has benefits in traditional medicine to help relieve and cure various diseases, one of which is pain. Objective: Study this aim to know the activity analgesics, variations concentration most effective extracts and comparison effectiveness from extract 70% ethanol and extract methanol leaf clove to mice white male strain Swiss Webster with method excitatory chemistry. Method: Experimental research with 40 male white mice and divided into to be 8 treatment group, namely negative control with CMC-Na 1% , positive control with ponstan , 70% ethanol extract group and methanol extract doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg / KgBW. The pain inducer is 1% acetic acid. Observations were made with observing the movements of mice to calculate the % of pain protection. Obtained data tested with statistical tests One Way ANOVA and Post hoc Games- Howell using SPSS 23. Results: Extract 70% ethanol and extract clove leaf methanol with doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/ KgBW can provide an analgesic effect on white male mice induced by acetic acid and provide a significant effect (p<0.05), meaning there is connection between giving sample with decline amount stretched. Conclusion: Extract 70% ethanol and extract methanol leaf clove a dose of 400 mg / KgBW had the most effective analgesic effect as seen from the positive mean difference value which was greater and was declared significant with a p value <0,05. Suggestion: Need analgesic test was carried out use method else, necessary toxicity tests were carried out about effect analgesic and necessary Tests for total flavonoids and compounds were carried out metabolites others.
