Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease with a high mortality rate. It is often not recognized and detected by the sufferer even though it has been suffered for a long time. Hypertension is included in the top 10 (ten) diseases at the Pandanarum Health Center with visits over the last 3 years: 1,110 (2019), 1,345 (2020) and 1,076 (2021). One of the activities carried out by the Puskesmas is prioritizing patient independence as an integrated promotive and preventive effort through Prolanis activities. Purpose: To determine the relationship between Prolanis visits and blood pressure stability in Prolanis participants at the UPTD Pandanarum Health Center. Methods: This study used a quantitative analytic research method with a cross sectional approach. A sample of 60 participants (total sampling). Analysis with SPSS Ver.22 used the chi square relationship test with a research confidence level of 95% at a value of α = 0.05. Results: the results of the study showed that most of them were over 45 years old, 55 (91.7%), most with elementary school education, 21 (35%) and mostly unemployed, 28 (46.7%). Visits Prolanis hypertensive patients most active number 39 (65%). The most stable blood pressure hypertension sufferers with a stable status of 32 (53.3%). Analysis of the relationship between the liveliness of Prolanis visits and blood pressure stability in Prolanis participants with chi square obtained p value = 0.000 less than (0.05). Conclusion: The results of the study found that there was a relationship between Prolanis visits and blood pressure stability in Prolanis participants at the UPTD Pandanarum Health Center. Recommended further research on other related factors and the importance of home visits to increase Prolanis visits.
