Abstract
Background: Elderly is a condition characterized by a person's inability to maintain balance against physiological stress conditions (Efendi & Makhfudli, 2010). Based on Basic Health Research data for 2018, the number of people with hypertension in Indonesia based on a doctor's diagnosis and the use of antihypertensive drugs for the elderly (55-75 years and over) in Indonesia reached 135,474 people. Purpose:To explain family nursing care in the developmental stage of the elderly with ineffective health maintenance in SomogedeVillage. Method: This type of descriptive research with a case study approach. This type of case study used a nursing care review. Results: The results of 5 clients showed that after the dhikr therapy was carried out there was a decrease in blood pressure and the family's knowledge of dealing with problems increased. Conclusion: The results of the analysis show that after dhikr therapy has an effect on reducing blood pressure.
