Abstract
Backgroud: Endorphin massage can be used to relieve pain and increase relaxation by inducing a feeling of comfort by touching the skin surface. Studies have shown that this technique increases the release of endorphins and oxytocin. This massage stimulates the body to release endorphins which are known as pain relievers. Purpose: Describe the application of using the endorphin massage method on menstrual pain for young women. Research Method: A descriptive type of research method used to analyze descriptive data or collected data in such a way as to compare it with other results in order to draw conclusions. Case Study Results: The results of the study of 3 patients found that children felt pain during menstruation. Nursing diagnoses of acute pain related to physiological agents of injury. The action to reduce pain is endorphin massage. Endorphin massage was carried out 3x (3 days) meetings. The results of the pain evaluation showed that before the endorphin massage was carried out, the pain scale was 7 (moderate), after being given endorphin massage therapy, menstrual pain was reduced to a pain scale of 2 (mild). Obtained acute pain associated with physiological injury agents can be resolved. Conclusion: The application of endorphin massage therapy can reduce menstrual pain in young women.
