Abstract
Background: According to a 2019 study by WHO in 2019 stated that as many as 5-25% of the number of pre-school children suffer from developmental disorders caused by gadgets. According to the developmental psychology of preschool age children, gadget users have a social impact, apart from having a positive impact on the use of gadgets, it also has a negative impact, excessive use of gadgets has a negative impact on children's social and emotional development. The negative impacts of using gadgets on children include closed personality development, sleep disturbances, solitude, violent behavior, reduced creativity. The importance of parental supervision of children using gadgets and limiting the use of gadgets. parents should be experienced in providing tools that support their child's needs and should keep all content on their device under control. Purpose: Describes family nursing care at the developmental stage of pre-school aged children who are addicted to gadgets by educating them about the dangers of gadgets. Research Method: This research uses descriptive case study method. The subjects of this study consisted of 3 fostered families who had pre-school children who were addicted to gadgets and were given education on the dangers of gadgets using leaflets and flipcharts. Measuring the level of family knowledge using the pre-test and post-test methods by filling out a questionnaire. Result of Case Study: After being given health education on the dangers of gadgets to assisted families, the level of family knowledge increased, namely client 1 with a pre-test 6 and post-test score 9, client 2 with a pre-test score of 5 and post-test 10 and client 3 with a pre-test score of 6 and post-test 9. Recommendation: Health education on the dangers of gadgets using leaflets and flipcharts can increase family knowledge.
