Abstract
Background:The inflammatory process of bronchopneumonia can cause increased secretion production to the point that it causes several symptoms and there are nursing problems with ineffective airway clearance. The causes of bronchopneumonia which are transmitted directly include viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa or objects that are characterized by high heat, restlessness. , dypnea, rapid and shallow breathing, continuous coughing. One action that can be taken to overcome the problem of ineffective airway clearance is by applying eucalyptus oil steam inhalation therapy Objective: To explain the analysis of nursing care for bronchopneumonia patients with ineffective airway clearance nursing problems in the Aster ward, Prof. Hospital. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto with eucalyptus oil steam inhalation therapy Method: The research design was a descriptive method with a case study approach in bronchopneumonia patients with the main nursing problem of ineffective airway clearance with eucalyptus oil vapor inhalation therapy. Nursing Care Results: The results of a study of five patients with bronchopneumonia who experienced ineffective airway clearance nursing problems after receiving water vapor and eucalyptus oil inhalation therapy showed that all patients experienced an increase in the RR, sputum production became more productive and breath sounds increased. decrease. Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can provide mothers with knowledge regarding how to care for children when their cough is ineffective and unable to produce secretions with eucalyptus oil steam inhalation therapy
