Abstract
Background: Bronchopneumonia is the medical term used to describe inflammation that occurs in the walls of the bronchioles and the surrounding lung tissue. The inflammatory process of the disease process of bronchopneumonia gives rise to existing clinical manifestations resulting in several problems and one of them is ineffective airway clearance. One of the nonpharmacological therapies that can be given to ineffective airway clearance is giving warm water vapor andpaper mint oilin a semi-Fowler's position. The benefits of this action are that it can increase oxygen consumption, increase heart rate and be able to remove fluids that the body does not need, such as diluting mucus that clogs the respiratory tract. General purpose: Describes the analysis of nursing care for bronchopneumonia patients with ineffective airway clearance nursing problems by administering nonpharmacological therapy of warm water vapor andpaper mint oil in the semi-fowler position in the Aster Room at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Results of Nursing Care: after giving therapy for 3 days with a total of 6 times of administration by involving the patient's family in giving therapy independently which was carried out for 5-10 minutes the result was that the nursing problem of airway clearance was not effectively resolved. By showing a decreaseRespiration-rate, sputum production becomes more productive, and additional breath sounds fade over time Recommendation: For future researchers, it is hoped that they can examine the administration of non-pharmacological therapy of warm water vapor andpaper mintoiland chest physiotherapy in bronchopneumonia patients with airway clearance nursing problems is not effective.
