Abstract
Backgroud: Chronic kidney failure in patients who underwent hemodialisa will experience sever problem is a stress, hemodialisa can also be classified as stressor. Men and women have different strategies coping. Men generally are often not always showed to others when they have physical or emotional problems, for many male means behaving unruly, not competitive and emotionally expressive, female more useful together others, various concerns or difficulties with their friends and positive as well as negative emotions openly. Purpose: Knowing the fifference in mechanism of renal failure patiens at coping chronicles the men and women who undergo hemodialisis in PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong region hospital. Methods: This research uses the correlation method with the approach of cross sectional, the population which is used in this research using random sampling 40 patients as sampel. The data analysis is used the frequency distribution and bivariat analysis using the test of statistic chi square. Results: Based on research conducte showed a significant difference between the data on the mechanism of renal failure patients at coping chronicles the men and women who undergo hemodialisa in PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong region hospital retrived value p = 0,004 revealed significant extent (<0,05). Conclusions: There is difference mechanism coping on chronic renal failure patiens are men and women who undergo hemodialisa in PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong region hospital
