This disease is growing very rapidly and has spread to various other provinces in China, even spreading to Thailand and South Korea in less than a month. . On February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the name of this disease as Corona Disease Virus (Covid-19) caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, previously called 2019-nCoV, and declared a pandemic on March 12, 2020 Research purposes: This study aims to explain nursing care for COVID-19 patients with ineffective breathing patterns using Breathing Retraining Method Study: The method used in writing the final scientific paper of the Nurses is using a descriptive method with a case study approach. Research result: The action taken is breathing retraining which is carried out for 1 x 15 minutes in reducing the ineffectiveness of the breathing pattern of patients with shortness of breath showing positive results in the form of a decrease in respiratory rate, a decrease in the use of respiratory accessory muscles, a decrease in nostril breathing, and an increase in oxygen saturation. Conclusion: The innovation of nursing actions from the data of five patients carried out by the author is that breathing retraining therapy is quite effective in handling patients with a diagnosis of ineffective breathing pattern as evidenced by a decrease in the respiratory rate, a decrease in the use of accessory muscles of respiration and nasal lobe breathing, as well as an increase in the patient's oxygen saturation. Recommendation:The results of research on the application of breathing retraining so that it can be used as an illustration and reference for hospitals, especially in cases of ineffective breathing patterns
