Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a health problem that occurs frequently in society and is important to treat because of its high frequency and can cause serious complications. Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is one of the most life-threatening diseases, ranking third after heart disease and cancer. In patients with hypertension there will be a problem of discomfort in the form of pain which is usually felt in the back of the head to the back of the neck, this pain is usually acute or lasts less than 6 months. Pain experienced by hypertensive patients causes discomfort and requires proper treatment so that the quality of life of hypertensive patients is maintained. One of the pain management in hypertensive patients is music therapy and techniques.slow deep breathing. Purpose: Explain nursing care in hypertensive patients with acute pain as a major nursing problem by providing classical music therapy and Slow Deep Breathing. Results: The results of the assessment that was carried out on five respondents who experienced hypertension said they felt pain in the back of the head to the neck with a moderate pain scale and experienced acute pain nursing problems. The nursing intervention that was carried out was giving music therapy and techniquesslow deep breathing. After being implemented for three days, the result was that the provision of music therapy and techniques slow deep breathing very effective in reducing acute pain in hypertensive patients. Recommendation: For future researchers, it is hoped that they can examine giving slow deep breathing and in hypertensive patients with acute pain nursing problems.
