Abstract

Background : One of the problems often experienced by post SC patients is the Ineffectiveness of Breastfeeding due to maternal breast anomalies. Breast Care therapy and Nipple Withdrawal using Injection Syringes can be used to overcome this nursing problem. Objective : Explains nursing care by applying Breast Care techniques and Nipple Withdrawal therapy using an Injection Syringe to overcome the problem of Ineffective Breastfeeding nursing in post Caesarean Section patients in the Flamboyan Room of Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital Purwokerto. Methods : This care study uses a describe method which is carried out to provide an overview of the application of Breast Care therapy and Nipple Withdrawal using an Injection Syringe in post SC patients who experience problems in the Breastfeeding process which are carried out during two meetings. Result : From the five patients who were sampled, it was found that the problem of Ineffective nursing was caused by an anomaly of the mother’s breast. The five patients were given non-pharmacological interventions for Breast Care therapy and Nipple Withdrawal using an Injection Syringe. Implementation was carried out over two meetings over two days. The evaluation results showed that after the patient was given Breast Care therapy and the Nipple was Withdrawn using an Injection Syringe, the patients breast milk had come out and the mother’s nipples were protruding. Recommendation : Future researchers can further develop and research the benefits of Breast Care therapy and Nipple retraction using Injection Syringes.
