Abstract

Background: Stroke, characterized by a disruption in brain blood supply due to blood vessel rupture or clot blockage, leads to various issues, including swallowing disorders, acute pain, physical mobility limitations, communication barriers, self-care deficits, nutritional imbalances, and ineffective cerebral perfusion. Ineffective cerebral tissue perfusion often results in cerebral tissue hypoxia. One non-pharmacological therapy option is murotal therapy, which can help improve hemodynamic status. Objective: To analyze nursing care that incorporates murotal therapy, specifically Surah Ar-Rahman innovation, to address the nursing problem of the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion in patients admitted to the High-Care Unit (HCU) of Prof. Margono Hospital. Method: This study employs a descriptive methodology with a case study approach, involving five non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. The research utilizes murotal therapy standard operating procedures (SOPs) and vital signs observation sheets as case study instruments. Murotal therapy, using the Surat Ar-Rahman innovation, is provided for 10 minutes once a day for three consecutive days (3x24 hours). Results : The application of non-pharmacological therapy through the Murotal Surat Ar- Rahman innovation intervention for the five non-hemorrhagic stroke patients at risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion resulted in an increase in the level of consciousness by 1-2 points and an improvement in hemodynamic status. Recommendation: It is suggested that the Murotal Surat Ar-Rahman Innovation Intervention be considered as part of stroke rehabilitation treatment. This therapy can be used independently by patients and their families at home, providing a valuable option for ongoing care and recovery.
