Abstract
Background: Mental health encompasses subjective well-being, including self-assessment of feelings, self-concept, fitness, and self-control capacity. The development of mental disorders, such as schizophrenia, often involves the presence of hallucinations—sensory experiences or perceptions occurring without external stimulation. In this case study, the focus is on managing hallucinations in schizophrenia patients who experience auditory sensory perception disorders using dhikr therapy. Objective: To describe the outcomes of nursing care for auditory hallucination patients with sensory perception disorders with a specific focus on the implementation of dhikr therapy. Method: This study employs a descriptive case study design in the form of nursing care for 5 respondents. The research utilizes instruments such as a dhikr therapy SOP, AHRS scale sheet, observation sheet for evaluating dhikr proficiency, activity schedule, and mental nursing care format. The intervention consists of four dhikr therapy sessions lasting 30 minutes each, with hallucination occurrences assessed before and after using the AHRS scale. Results: From the results of applying dhikr therapy in 4 meetings for 30 minutes, it can be concluded that of the five clients, the client with the highest decrease in the AHRS scale occurred in the fourth client / K4, namely reaching 9 points, while the lowest decrease in the AHRS scale occurred in the fifth client / K5, namely reaching 3 points. From the initial K4 18 points and K5 22 points after being given dhikr therapy to K4 9 points and K5 19 points. Recommendation: The findings of this study suggest that non-pharmacological methods, such as dhikr therapy, can be applied to patients with auditory hallucinations. These interventions may help reduce AHRS scale scores and alleviate auditory hallucinations.
