Background: Patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) often experience tightness, palpitations, and chest pain, which may cause poor quality sleep. Back massage treatment performed 3 consecutive days for 10 minutes at 24-hour intervals may decrease blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, reduce pain, and enhance sleep quality. Purpose: the objective of this study was to discover how back massages affected the quality of sleep that CHF patients at KRT Setjonegoro Wonosobo Hospital experienced in 2023. Method: This research method uses experimental quasy procedurs with a one-group pre and post design approach, then the data is processed using paired tests. The sample in this study was 44 respondents. Result: The results of the statistical test obtained a p value of 0.000, meaning that there is relationship between back massage therapy and the quality of sleep experienced by CHF patients at KRT Setjonegoro Wonosobo Hospital in 2023. Conclusion: According to the study's results, back massage therapy can enhance the quality of sleep for CHF patients. The recommendation for future researchers is that the results of this study should be use as a basis data for their research, with the objective to achieve more appropriate and effective time, energy and facilities and engage families in this intervention.
