Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease which is one of the main causes of premature death in the world. Many people with hypertension ignore the symptoms that appear or the symptoms they experience. The symptoms of hypertension can cause headaches in the morning, have nosebleeds, irregular heartbeat, decreased vision function and can cause ringing in the ears. These symptoms if left untreated can cause ongoing pain, thus requiring nursing intervention to reduce pain. autogenic muscle relaxation is a way that can be done to reduce pain. Objective: Analyzing nursing care analysis of acute pain hypertension patients given slow therapy stroke back massage at Asoka RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Puwokerto. Method: This scientific work used case study method of 5 patients. Instrument used in the form of nursing care format, pain assessment using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), and autogenic muscle relaxation. Result: The nursing problem that emerged in the five patients was acute pain, while another nursing diagnosis that the author took was anxiety. Implementation carried out on the five patients by performing pain management includes pain assessment using the PQRST method, providing non-pharmacological treatment for autogenic muscle relaxation therapy which shows a decrease in pain scale from moderate pain scale to mild pain scale. Recommendation: The next researchers are expected to provide the therapy in the morning autogenic muscle relaxation and given for more than three days
