Abstract
Introduction, Vap is the most common pneumonic infection associated infection in the intensive care unit and is a pneumonic infection that occurs after 48 hours of mechanical ventilators. Vap prevalence in mechanically ventilated patients in the world was about 22.8% and 86% of nosokomial infections. Vap bundle is a series of interventions conducted to prevent vap from invading lung organs found frequently in hospitals, especially in intensive care. Intensive care is a treatment room for patients who require observation due to critical conditions or unstable medical conditions. Patients who are treated in the intensive care unit are often put on a ventilator as a breathing apparatus. Aim, to description of the nurse’s knowledge of VAP at Dr. Soedirman hospital Kebumen. Methods, the study uses a quantitative approach. This quantitative approach was used by researchers to measure the nurse's knowledge of VAP. Results, the level of nurse's knowledge of the vap at Dr. Soedirman hospital Kebumen indicates that most nurses have a sufficient level of knowledge of vap as many as 27 nurses (55.1%). Conclusion, the conclusion to this study is that the level of nurses' knowledge in the intensive room of Dr. Soedirman's hospitalKebumen of vents related pneumonia is in sufficient category Recommendation, it is hoped for further research to add another variable that can affect the level of a nurse’s knowledge of VAP.
