Abstract
Background: Based on data obtained at Purbowangi General Hospital during the preliminary study, it was found that in July 2022 - June 2023 there were 50 glaucoma patient visits with trabeculectomy with a control schedule 4 times a month until the condition was stable according to the doctor in charge. From this data, the researchers wanted to know whether glaucoma patients were compliant in carrying out routine controls, considering that glaucoma disease really needs control to check inter-ocular pressure. And researchers want to focus on the patient's level of knowledge regarding glaucoma and whether the support of the patient's family is related to compliance with routine control. Research objectives: The general objective of this research is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and family support on compliance with routine control of glaucoma patients at RSU Purbowangi Research method: This research is a non-experimental quantitative type with a correlational method with a cross-sectional approach, namely research to determine the relationship between risk factors and effects, using the technique of collecting information at one time (point time approach), which means that each research subject only observed only once. The research sample was 58 patients with the chi-square statistical test. Research results: Most patients had a good level of knowledge and family support Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and family support on glaucoma patient control compliance at Purbowangi Hospital Recommendation: It is hoped that this will educate the public about the importance of knowledge and family support regarding glaucoma so that they will carry out examinations as instructed by the doctor.
