Abstract
Background: Hypertension is high blood pressure that occurs continuously where systolic blood pressure is 140 mmHg, while diastole is 90 mmHg. Health profile Data from Central Java Province in 2019 states that the prevalence of people who experience hypertension is 37.57% or around 8,070,378 people. the highest number of hypertensive patients was in Grobogan Regency with 424,856 people and the lowest was in magelang city with 5,868 people, while Kebumen Regency had 206,840 people with hypertension. Objective: To explain the analysis of nursing care of hypertensive patients with pain nursing problems with Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy in Multazam Room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: Using descriptive with Case Study approach on 5 hypertensive patients with pain in the Multazam room of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong hospital. Sampling based on inclusion criteria: patients with complaints of pain. The patient was diagnosed with hypertension. Patients are willing to be given Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy. Results of Nursing Care: The results of the assessment to 5 patients obtained an average of patients experiencing pain scale 5-6. From the application of Slow Stroke Back Massage that has been done on all five patients for 3 meetings in one week, it was found that in hypertensive patients with acute pain, patients experienced a 15-50 mmHg decrease in systole and a 2-3 decrease in pain scale. Conclusion: The results of this study can be concluded that the provision of Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy in hypertensive patients with pain can have an effect in reducing the pain scale with a decrease of 2-3 scale after being given Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy. Recommendation: Hospitals are expected to implement nursing care and Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy so that they can improve the quality of service for hypertensive patients and pain nursing problems and for all patients in general.
