Abstract
Background: Low caring behavior is one of the causes of patient dissatisfaction in health care units. Nurses' caring behavior is very important in fulfilling patient satisfaction, this is an indicator of the quality of service in a hospital. The aim of the research is to identify the relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the level of patient satisfaction in the ICU of Siaga Hospital Meldika Banyumas. Research Method: This research uses quantitative methods with an observational research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was ICU patients at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas, totaling 80 respondents taken by accidental sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire on demographic data, caring behavior and patient satisfaction. Data analysis used a reliability test of p=0.838. Data analysis using chi square. The results of the research : from 80 respondents, showed that the majority of respondents were in the age range 50-60 years (28.7%), civil servants (41.3%), male (57.5%), high school education ( 41.3%). The test results showed that the majority of nurses had provided good caring behavior (76.3%), and patient satisfaction was in the satisfied category (78.8%). Conclusion: There is a relationship between nurses' caring behavior and the level of satisfaction with a significant chi square value (p value = 0.000).
