Abstract
Background: A baby has very sensitive skin. This relatively thin skin of the baby (infant) may cause the infant to be more susceptible to infection, irritation, and allergies. Therefore the skin needs more carefully treatment. Except doing the routine car for the skin, parents also need to pay attention to skin care for the areas covered with diapers not to cause the baby get problems. One of the efforts to prevent skin disorders is by giving perianal treatment. Objective: Providing health education of perianal care in preventing diaper rash on infants by using Operational Procedure Standard (SPO). Method: This scientific paper uses analytical descriptive approach by conducting examination and direct observation, with a case study approach (case study) by systematically using various data sources. Result: There is an increase of knowledge of infant mothers on perianal care, and the health education of perianal care for infants using Operational Procedure Standard (SPO) is effective to prevent the occurrence of diaper rash of infants. Conclusion: After being given health education of perianal care using Operational Procedure Standard (SPO) made by the writer, the midwife and the writer can give health education easily.
