Abstract
Background: Students as one of the stakeholders in higher education to be able to conduct research before being declared entitled to a bachelor's degree, the preparation of the final project or called a undergraduate thesis is one of the requirements for graduation from college. Feeling anxious is a situation where someone feels indecisive and uneasy which makes someone think or feel if there is something bad about to happen soon. High self-confidence which is one of the internal aspects in people. Objective: Knowing the correlation between self-confidence and the level anxiety of regularstudents B18 nursing program in preparing a undergraduate thesis at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong. Methods: This type of quantitative research is descriptive correlation. The population taken was 101 students. The sample taken amounted to 100 students because 1 student was a researcher. The research instrument adopted Riski's journal, (2021) with 16 reliability statements 0.806 and DASS adopted from Damanik (2011) 42 statements specifically anxiety 14 reliability statements 0.8517. Data analysis through chisquare statistical test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: Self-confidence of students 21 people (21%) have high self-confidence and 60 people (60%) have moderate self-confidence. Anxiety levels in students 13 people (13%) with moderate anxiety levels, 5 people (5%) with severe anxiety levels, and 2 people (2%) with panic anxiety levels. Conclusion: Self-confidence has a significant correlation with the level of anxiety in regular students B18 nursing program in preparing a undergraduate thesis at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gombong with a p value smaller than the α value of 0.001 <0.05. Recommendation: It is expected to be a source of reading and basic literature for students related to self-confidence and anxiety levels.
