Abstract
Backgrounds: Disaster mitigation knowledge is children's right so that children can know information related to disaster mitigation efforts if a disaster occurs. In general, disaster mitigation is an effort to reduce disaster risks, through awareness and improving ways to overcome the threat of disasters (Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management). Objective: To find out how the impact of providing education with learning media animated flood disaster mitigation videos has on the knowledge of school-age children at SD Negeri Arjomulyo. Method: This research is a quantitative descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples is 58 respondents with total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out on September 24 2022i at Arjomulyo Public Elementary School, the instrument used was a flood disaster knowledge level questionnaire. The data in this study were analyzed using univariate analysis. Result: after the pre-test the knowledge category was good with a total of 58 respondents (17.3%), sufficient knowledge (82.7%), and a lack of preparedness attitude by 58 (100%). Conclusion: The level of knowledge about flood disaster mitigation was obtained at the level of knowledge in the sufficient category of 82.7%. then the level of preparedness attitude regarding flood disaster mitigation is in the good category as much as 100% Recommendation: For future researchers, it is hoped that they can develop research on the level of flood preparedness knowledge and attitudes, for example measuring the level of flood preparedness knowledge and attitudes to teachers.
