Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease caused by the inability of the pancreas to produce the hormone insulin adequately. This disease can be said to be a chronic disease because it can be chronic. Based on the cause, diabetes mellitus is classified into three types, including type 1 diabetes mellitus, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and gestational diabetes mellitus. Health education is actually the same as health promotion in public health science. Compliance is an action or action that is willing to carry out dietary rules in accordance with what has been determined. Researcher's Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of dietary compliance in diabetes mellitus sufferers at RSU Purbowangi. Researcher Method: This research method is correlation research with a cross sectional approach. The research population was all outpatient diabetes mellitus patients at Purbowangi RSU, Kebumen Regency. The total number of samples was 102 taken using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank statistical test. Research Results: Based on the Spearman Rho test with α = 0.05, a relationship was found between dietary compliance and blood sugar levels at Purbowangi General Hospital, a relationship between dietary compliance and blood sugar levels at Purbowangi General Hospital. Conclusion: There is a relationship between health education and diet compliance in Miletus diabetes sufferers at Purbowangi General Hospital
