Abstract
Background: Exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 0-6 months at the district of Kebumen in 2020 states that even during the Covid-19 pandemic, the prevalence of babies who exclusively breastfed is 24.4%. if we look at previous year prevalence of 33.05%, there was a significant development, the number of babies that not exclusively breastfed was quite large. The impact of not giving exclusive breastfeeding is hunger and even death from diarrhea. Objective: To carry out the application of marmet massage therapy to breast milk production in postpartum mothers at Ade Roswita A.Md.Keb Independent Midwifery Practices. Methods: This research uses descriptive research, namely through a case study approach, data collection techniques in the form of observation and interviews, literature and documentation. Participants in this care were postpartum days 2 to 8, on 4 participants. Results: After marmet massage therapy was given for 7 days with a frequency of 2 times in the morning and evening. Before the implementation, it was found that the production of the three participants' milk was not efficient. However, after 7 days of applying the therapy there was an increase in milk production as seen from breast tension, milk seeping into clothes, the frequency of the baby's urination, the frequency of breastfeeding, the baby sleeping after feeding. Suggestion: we expect that the results of this research can be used as reference and material for other researchers to conduct further research on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers
