Abstract
Background: Hypertension is abnormal blood pressure measured while lying down or resting with systolic pressure greater than 140mmHg and daistolic pressure equal to or greater than 90mmHg. Hypertension experienced can cause pain in the head and neck. One of the treatments for hypertension in the diagnosis of acute pain with non-pharmacological therapy is healing touch. Objective: Explain nursing care for hypertensive patients with acute pain nursing problems in the Dahlia Room of RSUD Prof. dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Methods: This research uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The sample amounted to 5 hypertensive patients. The case study instrument uses Healing Touch SOP and observation sheets before and after Healing Touch. Results: The results of the application carried out by the five patients, all experienced acute pain problems and were given interventions such as pharmacological therapy and nonpharmacological techniques Healing Touch three times for 3 days with a therapy time of 20 minutes, then observed before and after therapy. After applying 3x24 hours to the five patients, it was found that there was a decrease in the scale of pain in each and a decrease in blood pressure numbers. Recommendation: The results of this study can be applied to patients with complaints of chronic pain lowering pain scales and blood pressure in a nonpharmacological way.
