Abstract
Background: As soon as the placenta is expelled, the uterus will gradually return to its pre-pregnancy state which is called uterine involution. Involution occurs as a result of uterine contractions. The intensity of uterine contractions increases significantly immediately after birth, presumably in response to a very large decrease in intrauterine volume. The involution process causes an increase in ocytocin levels, an increase in uterine contractions so that acute pain nursing problems arise. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to get an overview of the application of postpartum exercise as a management of acute pain nursing problems in Spontaneous Post Partum patients. Method: This paper uses a descriptive case study design. The subjects of the case study were 5 Spontaneous Postpartum patients who experienced acute pain nursing problems. Collecting data with observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Results : The main nursing diagnosis that appears in the fifth Spontaneous Post Partum patient is acute pain. Implementation is carried out according to nursing interventions, evaluation of the results for 6x8 hours decreases pain levels and increases pain control. Recommendation: Nurses are expected to be able to apply postpartum exercise to handle acute pain nursing problems in Spontaneous Post Partum patients.
