Abstract
Background: Situational low self-esteem is a negative feeling towards oneself caused by experiences or events that threaten or damage one's self-concept. Situational low selfesteem can occur in breast cancer patients. The breast cancer treatment process can cause various side effects that can disrupt the appearance and function of the patient's body, which can reduce the patient's self-esteem. Objective: To provide situational low self-esteem nursing care using Jean Watson's theoretical approach to breast cancer patients with modification of positive affirmation audio nursing actions Method: This research uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The research subjects were 5 breast cancer patients with situational low self-esteem. The research instruments were a nursing care format, Rosenberg Self Esteem, SOP for positive affirmation audio action innovation and an observation sheet on the patient's ability to implement positive affirmation audio. Research data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. Results: The nursing implementation carried out was the act of trusting relationships, discussing low self-esteem, applying audio affirmations. The evaluation results show that the problem of low self-esteem has been resolved. The results of the nursing evaluation for Patients I-V showed an increase in self-esteem. On average, patients experience a decrease in symptoms of low self-esteem after positive affirmative action by 6-7 points. Conclusion: Situational low self-esteem nursing care using Jean Watson's theoretical approach with modification of positive affirmation audio nursing actions is an effective intervention to increase the self-esteem of breast cancer patients. Recommendation: To increase the effectiveness of nursing care for situational low selfesteem, it is necessary to create a standard SOP for innovative positive affirmation audio actions. This SOP can be used as a reference for nurses in implementing situational low self-esteem nursing care.
