Abstract
Background : Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) is a manual examination of muscle strength in the extremities. Proximal humerus fractures and other fractures can chronically reduce quality of life and independence. Patients who do not experience improvements in range of motion (ROM) and strength within one year will continue to experience chronic difficulties Purpose : Know the examination procedures and understand the use of the Manual Muscle Testing (MMT) method on muscle strength in humerus fracture patients. ResearchMethod : Preexperimental method or in other words conducting test activities, statistical test used wilcoxon statistical test with a total of 94 respondents. Results : Muscle strength of humerus fracture patients in the first post-op control. Almost half of the respondents had muscle strength in both male gender and in the medial fracture position, namely with a frequency of 62 respondents each. Conclusion : In this study, there is a relationship between gender and fracture location in the assessment of muscle strength in post-op humerus fracture patients at Siaga Medika Banyumas General Hospital. Recommendations for future researchers : It is used as basic data for further research and it is hoped that future research will use time, energy and be as efficient as possible and involve families in this research.
