Abstract
Background The aim of therapeutic communication is to help clients to explain and reduce the burden of feelings and thoughts and to be able to take action to change the existing situation if the client believes in what is needed, reduce doubts, help in taking effective action and maintaining the strength of his ego and influencing other people, the physical environment and himself. Objective: To analyze the influence of therapeutic communication implementation strategies on the risk level of violent behavior in schizophrenia patients at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas. Method The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all patients at risk of violent behavior at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas in the last 3 months, totaling 64 patients. with an experimental group of 32 and a control group of 32 people. The sampling technique in this research was the total sample. Results: Violent behavior before intervention in the intervention group was mostly with violent behavior of intensity 3 and violent behavior after being given intervention in the intervention group was mostly with violent behavior of intensity 2. The results of the p-value were 0.000 < 0.05. H0 was accepted, meaning there was an influence strategies for implementing therapeutic communication on the level of risk of violent behavior in schizophrenia patients. The conclusion is that there is an influence of strategies for implementing therapeutic communication on the level of risk of violent behavior in schizophrenic patients at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas. The next recommendation for researchers if they want to carry out further research is to apply strategies for implementing therapeutic communication on the risk of suicide because if strategies for implementing therapeutic communication on the risk of suicide are not addressed it will lead to cases of suicide.
