Abstract
Background: Nursing is one of the jobs that provides hospital services within 24 hours. The role of nurses is very important in health services, so nurses are required to do their utmost in providing nursing care so that patient and family satisfaction can be achieved. This can affect the psychological condition of nurses while working. Purpose: This study aims to determine the psychological description and workload of inpatient nurses at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas. Research Method: This research is a type of quantitative research using a descriptive study design. A sample of 128 nurses was taken using a total sampling technique, of which 102 nurses met the inclusion criteria and 26 nurses were excluded from this study. Data was collected using a work stress and workload questionnaire. Univariate data analysis using SPSS. Results: The psychological condition of nurses in the inpatient ward at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas showed that the majority of nurses experienced mild physical stress (73.5%), mild psychological stress (86.3%) and mild behavioral stress (70.6%). The workload of nurses in the inpatient ward at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas shows that the majority of nurses experience mild physical workload (74.5%), mild psychological workload (77.5%) and mild time workload (83.3%). Conclusion: The level of work stress and workload of inpatient nurses at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas is mostly still in the mild category. Efforts are needed to improve coping strategies so that they have a positive effect on the psychological condition of nurses. Recommendation for future : The research results can be used as reference material for improving the quality of hospital services and as a reference for further research.
