Abstract
Background: Bone fractures are a very common occurrence in humans, bone fractures often occur due to accidents while driving. Fracture patients who have undergone surgery definitely have a level of stress, therefore there is a need for nurses to play a role in reducing the patient's stress level. Research objectives: This research uses quantitative research with chi square test correlation analysis. The sample in this study was 115 post-operative fracture patients, respondents using an accidental sampling technique. Data collection used the DASS 42 questionnaire as well as the role of nurses and data analysis using the SPSS application Results: Based on statistical tests, there is a correlation between the role of nurses and postoperative patient stress as indicated by a p value of 0.000 with a value (correlation coefficient) of 0.647 Conclusion: the role of nurses greatly influences the stress level of post-operative patients. The better the nurse is at serving and motivating post-operative patients, the lower the stress level will be. Reference: the results of the research can be used as reference material for further research in examining the role of nurses in post-operative patients in hospitals.
