Abstract
Background: People with psychotic disorders usually do not care about their appearance and lack self-care. Self-care deficit in schizophrenic patients occurs due to changes in thought processes. There are several therapies to change the behavior disorders of patients with self-care deficits, including modality therapy, one of which is economic tokens. Objective: to explain nursing care for the application of economic tokens in self-care deficit patients at Prembun Hospital Methods: The research method is descriptive with a case study approach. The case study subjects that will be studied are 5 patients. The tools in this study are the nursing care format, Nursing Kit, SOP token economy. and a self-care deficit sign-symptom assessment format. Presentation of data that the author does by drawing conclusions based on subjective and objective data, which is presented in the documentation method and nursing care resume Results: The results of the study showed that the five patients had the same problem, namely self- care deficit. Priority nursing diagnosis in Patients I-V is a self-care deficit related to psychological disorders. Nursing interventions carried out were self-care support: bathing and economic tokens. The nursing implementation carried out is self-care support: bathing and economic tokens. The results of the nursing evaluation on the five patients showed an increase in self-care. Patient I can bathe and eat properly. Patient II can eat properly. Patient III can take a bath. Patient IV can eat properly and bathe and patient V can eat properly and brush his teeth Recommendation: The results of this nursing care can be used as a reference for the preparation of SOPs for handling self-care deficits using self-care support: bathing and economic tokens
