Abstract
Background: Effective and innovative nursing care is crucial in improving the quality of health services, especially in cases of children with typoid who experience hyperthermia. One innovative action that can be implemented is a warm water compress. Objective: This study aims to implement nursing care for typoid children with hyperthermia nursing problems at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: This research uses a descriptive method with a case study approach. The research instruments involve nursing care formats, Nursing Kits, and action innovation SOPs. The innovative action applied is a warm water compress. The author presents the data by drawing conclusions based on subjective and objective data, which is presented in the documentation method and nursing care resume Results: The results of the assessment showed that the five patients had the same main complaint, the body felt hot. The priority nursing diagnosis in Patients I-V is hyperthermia associated with an increased metabolic rate. The nursing intervention carried out was hyperthermia management (I.15506) and a combination of warm compresses. The nursing implementation carried out was hyperthermia management (I.15506) and warm compresses. The results of the nursing evaluation for the five patients showed that there was a decrease in temperature after applying warm compresses to typhoid pediatric patients with hyperthermia, namely 1.4 -2.9℃. The results of hyperthermia measurements before and after the innovation of warm water compresses in typoid children with hyperthermia nursing problems were 39.3℃ to 36.0℃. Recommendation: The innovation of warm water compresses can be an effective alternative nursing action in reducing the body temperature of children with typhoid fever.
