Abstract
Background, Heart and blood vessel disease has become an important public health problem and is a major cause of death, so the role of nurses is very necessary in treating heart failure patients. One effort that can be done independently by nurses to reduce edema, especially edema in the lower extremity area or peripheral edema, is to carry out 30 ̊ foot elevation therapy. General purpose, to provide nursing care in the application of foot elevation 30 ̊ to reduce the degree of lower extremity edema in patients with congestive heart failure. Case collection method, case report approach (case study) conducted on 5 heart failure patients with 30° foot elevation intervention. The results, nursing care carried out for 1x6 hours in heart failure patients with hypervolemia problems with the application of foot elevation measures of 30 ° showed oedema before and after foot elevation 30 ° decreased. In conclusion, 30° foot elevation therapy can be an additional therapeutic option to reduce foot oedema in the right fit. The recommendation of this study is that it is expected that the taking of case subjects in the next study can be more and larger so that the results will be more effective.
