Abstract
Background: The main problem that often occurs in schizophrenia patients is the risk of violent behavior. This condition must be treated immediately because violent behavior that occurs can endanger the patient, other people and the environment. Intervention for patients at risk of violent behavior can be done by providing techniques to control violent behavior by providing implementation strategies and aerobic exercise. Objective: To describe nursing care for patients at risk of violent behavior through aerobic gymnastics therapy in Dosaraso shelter Area. Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive research design with a case study approach for 3 patients at risk of violent behavior. Therapy was carried out in 6 routine visits to the Dosaraso Shelter in Kebumen with a time of approximately 30 minutes using mental nursing care format instruments, standard operating procedures, activity schedules, signs and symptoms sheets, ability sheets before and after doing aerobic exercise. Results: Based on the nursing care provided to 3 patients at risk of being perpetrators of violence, the results showed that patients showed a decrease in signs and symptoms in patient 1 by 80%, patient 2 by 80%, patient 3 by 100% and the highest percentage increase in ability was 20% for the average sign of symptoms. The risk of being a perpetrator of violence is as much as 60%. Patient 3 experienced the least reduction in signs and symptoms with an initial score of 40%. Conclusion: Generalist therapy and aerobic exercise therapy are effective in reducing signs and symptoms of violent behavior. Recommendation: Generalist therapy and aerobic exercise therapy are recommended for use in patients at risk of violent behavior.
