Abstract
Background: Loneliness is a feeling of isolation, isolation, or neglect from social interactions and the surrounding environment. People who feel lonely want social interaction, but it is difficult for them to know how they can connect, around 69% of elderly people in Indonesia experience mild levels of loneliness, 11% moderate levels of loneliness, 2% report severe loneliness. Loneliness in the elderly requires treatment that takes into account several approaches such as using art therapy. Objective: Explaining nursing care using art therapy for elderly people with nursing problems of spiritual distress: loneliness. Method: This research uses the application of art therapy to the elderly with a sample of 5 respondents using a case instrument in the nursing care format, SOP art therapy in December 2023 - January 2024 in Kalipurwo Village, Kuwarasan District. Results: The results of applying art therapy to the five elderly patients showed that all respondents experienced spiritual distress nursing problems when they were given art therapy. Then observe before and after the action. After taking action with a frequency of meetings 4x in 1 month, the results showed that the five respondents experienced a decrease in loneliness. Conclusion: The results of this research can be applied to elderly people with spiritual distress: loneliness in order to reduce feelings of loneliness.
