Abstract
Background: School-age children are children aged around 6-12 years. Data on elementary school students who access the internet increased to 35.97% in 2020 from 16.64% in 2018. One of the health problems in school-age children is addiction to gadget use. Objective: Describe family nursing care at the stage of development of school-age children with health behavior problems that tend to be at risk in Pakuncen Village. Methods: This study used descriptive methods and conducted with 7 meetings. The data collection process was carried out using interview techniques, observation, and family link application. Respondents consisted of 3 families with families who had the first child at school age who already had a cellphone. Before using the family link application, health education and questionnaire filling were carried out. Results: The three families are a type of family with a developmental stage of school-age children who experience the problem of prolonged gadget use. Nursing problems that arise from the three respondents are health behaviors that tend to be at risk and ineffective health management. The planned interventions are that the family is able to recognize problems, the family is able to decide problems, the family is able to care for family members, the family is able to modify the environment, the family is able to utilize health facilities. Implementation in the three families was carried out health education, filling out questionnaires, and implementing therapy for 6 days. Recommendation: Health education conducted to families can increase family knowledge.
