Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract that can cause bronchial hyper responsiveness to various stimuli and airway obstruction. Typical symptoms of asthma include wheezing, difficulty breathing, a feeling of heaviness in the chest, and coughing, especially at night or in the morning which is generally reversible. Giving nebulizer is a pharmacological management so that the feeling of tightness and signs of symptoms in someone with asthma can be reduced. In addition, non-pharmacological management that can be done is the provision of Simple Inhalation of Eucalyptus Oil Aromatherapy. Method: This scientific paper uses a quantitative descriptive approach method with a case study. Data were obtained through interviews and observations with the subjects of three patients suffering from asthma with the nursing problem of ineffective airway clearance. Result: After administering Eucalyptus Oil Aromatherapy once a day for 3 days the intensity of shortness of breath and signs of symptoms felt by the three patients decreased. With the results of the frequency of breathing which was initially above 25 times over minutes to 20 times over minutes and the sound of breathing which was originally wheezing became vesicular. Conclusion: Eucalyptus oil aromatherapy is effective in reducing the intensity of shortness of breath and reducing signs and symptoms in patients with asthma. Recommendation: Asthma patients are advised to apply Eucalyptus Oil Aromatherapy to reduce the signs and symptoms felt and to reduce the intensity of shortness of breath.
