Abstract
Background: Dysmenorrhea is a menstrual disorder in the form of abdominal pain caused by menstruation. Dysmenorrhea is still a problem of many menstrual disorders and is most often encountered so that further intervention is needed so that dysmenorrhea pain does not interfere with activities. The diagnosis that appears in clients with dysmenorrhea is acute pain. Non-pharmacological management that can be used to reduce pain in clients is by applying warm water compress technique therapy. Purpose: Writing this scientific paper was to provide an overview of nursing care for adolescent’s children with acute pain with dysmenorrhea Method: The author's used a descriptive method, where the author describes the condition of the object under study through an existing data set using 3 adolescent female respondents with an age range of 12-18 years who have been assessed and experience dysmenorrhea pain Results: After education and application of non pharmacological therapy techniques for warm water compress in clients with dysmenorrhea pain were obtained results in a decreased in the pain scale from moderate to mild pain levels and increased knowledge in controlling pain using warm water compress therapy. Conclusion: The last evaluation was that pain complaints in clients are reduced; clients can control pain by used warm water compress therapy independently. Recommendation: non-pharmacological warm water compress therapy techniques can be applied to reduce pain during menstruation
