Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by metabolic disorders causes glucose levels in the blood due to unbalanced insulin production which is a symptom Frequent occurrence are polyuria, polydipsia and polyphagia. Accumulation of glucose levels in Certain tissues and cells can cause ineffective peripheral perfusion, peripheral perfusion is a decrease in blood flow to the periphery which can disrupt the body's metabolism the other is parathesis. Regular treatment through pharmacology and non-pharmacology can improve perfusion for diabetes mellitus. One of the non-pharmacological treatments is to use Warm Water Foot Soak Therapy (Hydrotherapy). Objective: Describe the nursing care for perfusion disorders of peripheral tissue in diabetes mellitus patient in Rogodono Village. Methods: This scientific writing is an analytical descriptive process with a case study approach. Data obtained through observation and interviews. The participants were 3 with Diabetes mellitus uses an innovative nursing action, namely Hydrotherapy by measuring the Ankle Brachial Index value carried out in diabetes mellitus patients. Result : After the Warm Water Foot Soak (Hydrotherapy) therapy action for 5 days were obtained with the result of an increase in the Ankle Brachial Index value on average before being given therapy, namely 0.92 and after being given therapy 0.95, there was a decrease paresthesia or tingling, dizziness, pain, cramps and signs of symptoms that appear in the third patient. Conclusion: Warm Water Foot Soak Therapy (Hydrotherapy) can help increases blood circulation, relaxes muscles and is able to relieve pain due to it tension on Diabetes mellitus patient. Recommendation: Clients are advised to continue Warm Water Foot Soak therapy (Hydrotherapy) independently at home to facilitate the process of increasing ankle brachial index with peripheral perfusion is not effective and prevents signs and symptoms from returning appear.
