Abstract
Background: In Indonesia breast, prostate, and lung cancer cause 234.511 deaths due to physical, psychological, social and spiritual factors. Psychosocial, cancer patients experience fear, anxiety, and depression. One that can be used for dismay is instrumental music therapy. The purpose: Giving an idea of nurses in breast cancer patients with anxiety using instrumental music therapy in village of Wonoharjo, labor district Rowokele. Method: Using descriptive method with case study approach through interviews, observation, and documentation using observation sheet showing anxiety and ability to perform instrumental music therapy. Subject of case study was 3 people with breast cancer who had anxiety measuring using DASS. Series of therapies conducted according to SOP include deep relaxation exercises, 5 fingers hypnotism, and instrumental music therapy MP3 during 4x meetings. The results: The three respondents experienced anxiety over the state of 11.67 (moderate anxiety) after being given a series of therapies, it was given a 8.33 (light anxiety) score that showed highest level of anxiety in clients 1 and 3, followed by clients 2 and their sense of selfcontrol. Recommendation: Instrumental music therapy has proved and effective in reducing anxiety in breast cancer patients.
