Abstract

Background: Teenagers often get caught up in unhealthy and erratic eating habits, which ultimately lead to disordered eating patterns. This can cause ulcers, known as gastritis or inflammation of the stomach lining. In 2021, the incidence of gastritis in Indonesia will reach 40.8%. In several island areas, it is quite high, namely 274,396 cases out of a total population of 238,452,952 people. Objective: Families are expected to be able to recognize existing health problems in family members, decide on appropriate actions for family members, provide health care to family members, modify the environment to ensure the health of family members and use health services. Method: The research used a descriptive analysis method using a family nursing care approach. Data was obtained through interviews and observations with 3 respondents for 6 days. Results: After being given education regarding family medicinal plants, the average value of the pre-test and post-test knowledge scores was 5.3 before the education and 8.3 after the education. Recommendation: TOGA is a plant that is easy to find in the yard and is useful for traditional medicines that can be made by yourself for family needs.
