Abstract
Background: Before the wedding, some prospective brides and grooms do not have sufficient knowledge and information regarding the family's reproductive health. One of them is pregnancy preparation. This can of course cause negative effects such as the risk of disease transmission, complications in pregnancy, disability and even death of mother and baby. In 2020, the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) reported that the percentage of unintended pregnancies (KTD) in Indonesia was 17.5 percent, this was caused by a lack of preparation before becoming pregnant. By implementing the Elsimil application, prospective brides and grooms can increase their knowledge about pregnancy preparation. Objective: Find out the level of knowledge of the prospective bride and groom regarding pregnancy preparation through the elsimil application. Method: This scientific paper is analytical descriptive with a case study design. Data was obtained through interviews. Respondents were 5 prospective brides aged >20 years. The instruments used were pretest and posttest questionnaire sheets. Results: After implementing the electronic application ready to get married and ready to get pregnant (elsimil) to prospective brides regarding preparation for pregnancy which was carried out for 2 days, there was an increase in knowledge from the five respondents in the good category. Conclusion: The electronic application ready to get married and ready to get pregnant (elsimil) has proven to be effective in increasing prospective brides and grooms' knowledge about pregnancy preparation.
