Abstract
Background: Adolescence marks a period where latent sexual energy transforms into active behaviors. Students at Wongsorejo Gombong Vocational School have reported instances such as holding hands with their crushes and accessing inappropriate videos, resulting in disciplinary actions such as expulsion. Objective: To examine the relationship between parental factors and sexual behavior in teenage boys at Wongsorejo Gombong Vocational School. Methods: This research employed a descriptive correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. Purposive sampling was used to select 83 eleventh-grade boys from Wongsorejo Gombong Vocational School. Results: The study revealed a significant relationship between parental parenting style (p=0.000). However, no significant relationships were found between parental education (father p=0.354, mother p=0.893), parental income (p=1.000), and parental provision of facilities (p=1.000, 0.583, and 0.266) with sexual behavior among teenage boys at Wongsorejo Gombong Vocational School. Conclusion: Parental parenting style correlates with sexual behavior in teenage boys, whereas parental education, income, and provision of facilities do not show significant correlations with sexual behavior at Wongsorejo Gombong Vocational School. Recommendation: Further research is necessary to explore additional factors influencing sexual behavior.
