Abstract
Background: Language or also called symbols in speaking is used by all people in related cooperation to get to know each other in communication, in polite and courteous speech. This communication is carried out verbally or what is called the primary language, while in writing it is called the secondary language. Language is the same as communicating using language, to be able to speak requires skills to compose words that organize codes to bring out word expressions in the brain. Objective: To describe nursing care for clients using hand puppet play therapy to improve language skills in preschool children. Research Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study method. The subjects were 3 pre-school age children (4-6 years) who were given play therapy using hand puppets for three meetings. Case Study Results: Therapy using hand puppets has been proven to be an effective therapy for improving language skills in pre-school age children. Conclusion: The application of play therapy using hand puppets can improve language skills in pre-school children.
