Abstract
Background, Stomach Colic is defined as pain in the stomach that comes and goes and originates from the stomach or part of the stomach and is caused by inflammation of the stomach organs. There are many other causes of colic, one of which is intestinal adhesions or what is usually called. intestinal complement. Stomach colic is usually characterized by the appearance of symptoms in the form of intermittent abdominal pain due to stomach infection. In addition to drug therapy, colic can also be treated with a combination of pain relievers and non-drug treatments. Non-pharmacological measures include warm compresses and soothing finger pressure. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of administering warm compresses and handheld restorative techniques to abdominal colic patients diagnosed with acute pain. Method: Descriptive observation with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 patients with abdominal colic, aged over 12 years, sufferers of abdominal colic with a mild pain scale (1-3) to a moderate pain scale (4-6), d) Blood pressure within normal limits, composmentis awareness and The patient is willing to be a respondent. Therapy is carried out 2 times. This case study was carried out in the emergency room at RSI Banjarnegara from February to April 2024. The results of this case study showed that all five patients experienced a decrease in the pain scale after receiving warm compress therapy and finger grip relaxation. Conclusion: Warm compress therapy and finger grip relaxation are effective for reducing the pain scale.
