Abstract
Background, Chronic inflammatory disease that occurs in the respiratory tract with signs and symptoms of coughing, as well as wheezing or wheezing breath sounds and a heavy chest feeling due to obstruction in the respiratory tract that can occur due to inflammation or muscle tension. Asthma treatment aims to control the signs and symptoms that appear. Respiratory relaxation has many roles in reducing physical complaints, respiratory relaxation techniques include using the balloon blowing technique. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of providing balloon inflatable therapy to asthma patients diagnosed with ineffective airway clearance. Method: Descriptive observation with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 patients with bronchial asthma, wheezing or wheezing breath sounds with a respiratory rate > 24 x/minute, GCS 15 or composmentis, age range 15-60 years and patients were willing to be respondents. Therapy was carried out 3 times. This case study was carried out in the emergency room at RSI Banjarnegara from February to April 2024. Results of Nursing Care: The results of this case study showed that the five patients experienced an increase in respiratory status after receiving balloon blowing therapy as indicated by a decrease in respiratory frequency in the range of 24-28 times/minute and reduced shortness of breath. Conclusion: Balloon inflatable therapy is effective for improving respiratory status and reducing shortness of breath.
