Abstract
Background : The puerperium during normal labor begins several hours after the birth of the placenta until the next 6 weeks. The period of childbirth (peurperium) is a period of recovery,starting from the end of labornuntil the uterine utensils return to the same as the prenatal. Engogement is damaging milk due narrowing of the lactiferous duct or by glands that are not completely emptied. The breast will feel sore, hot, painful in touc, tense, engogemet that occurs on the third day until the sixth day after labor, when breast milk normal result. The tendency for women to use non-medicinal and herbal products in the post partum period development of the baby. Therefore the authors are interested in knowing the effects of aloe vera compresses to reduce pain pain in post partum mothers with brest engorgement. Objective : To get an overview of nursing care for postpartum mothers with acute pain problems in Ayah sub-distric. Method : This research used a qualitative descriptivemethod with a case study approach. Data collection were interview and observation sheet. Conduered by 3 postpartum motherd with acute pain problems. Results: After applaying the aloe vera gel compress for 3 day, there was a decrease in the pain scale of the participans: patient 1 pain scale 9 to pain scale 5. In patient 2 pain scale 8 to pain scale 4. In patient 3 pain scale 7 to pain scale 2. Recommendation : Application of aloe vera gel compress action. Can reduce brest pain in post partum mothers.
