Abstract
Background: Chronic Kidney Failure is a health problem that can hurt physical and psychosocial aspects, thereby reducing the quality of life. Quality of life can be influenced by patient demographics, health status, and psychological status. Objective: to determine the factors associated with the quality of life of Chronic Kidney Failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Dr Soedirman Regional Hospital, Kebumen. Research methods: This study used a cross-sectional correlational analysis approach. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 68 respondents. Research result: There is a relationship between education (p=0.041), employment (p=0.048), comorbidities (p=0.044), hemoglobin levels (p=0.024), blood pressure (p=0.023), IDWG (=0.000) and there is no relationship between age, (p=0.411), gender (p=0.909), marital status (0.209), duration of hemodialysis (p=0.634), and vascular access (p=0.290) with the quality of life of patients undergoing hemodialysis at Dr Soedirman Regional Hospital, Kebumen. Conclusion: Factors that influence the quality of life of hemodialysis patients at RSUD Dr Soedirman Kebumen include education, employment, comorbidities, hemoglobin levels, blood pressure, and IDWG, while factors that do not influence include age, gender, marital status, duration of hemodialysis and access vascular. Recommendations: For further researchers can add other factors related to quality of life in patients with chronic kidney failure.
